Get up and running
Python 3.9+ is the only thing you install by hand. The app's setup installs the rest (Python packages, ffmpeg, yt-dlp). There is no packaged installer yet; Jitso Studio runs from the project folder.
1. Get the project
Clone or copy the project into any folder or drive:
git clone <repo> clips
2. Install and launch
Run app\setup.bat (or use Settings → This machine → Install missing components), then double-click Start Jitso Studio.vbs.
3. Connect Account
Click 👤 Log In in the app header to link your account.

How does the login system and Jitso Studio token work?
You can create a free account right here on the website. Inside your account dashboard, you can generate a persistent "Jitso Studio Access Token". Paste this token (or use your username & password) directly inside the desktop app to link your account, manage presets, and authenticate securely.
Do I need to pay for AI credits or cloud servers?
No. By default the AI runs on your own PC (a built-in llama.cpp engine and faster-whisper), so there are no credits to buy. If you choose a cloud provider such as OpenAI, Gemini or Anthropic, you pay that provider directly with your own key.
Does my video or audio ever get uploaded to an external server?
Recording, transcription, AI highlight scoring and video editing happen on your machine. The app goes online to stream to the destinations you add, to upload clips you schedule, to talk to the YouTube, Twitch and Kick APIs, to fetch tools such as ffmpeg and yt-dlp, and to a cloud AI only if you configure one.
Do I still need a separate streaming or editing app?
Scene Studio composes and captures your scenes with an audio mixer, and Video Studio is a multitrack editor with 40 effects, so for streaming and quick edits you may not need another app.
